Two Teulon businesses donated a total of $1,000 in corporate sponsorships to the Teulon Ride in Rally benefiting Project New Hope Canada March 15.
Red River Co-op’s Kurt Ansell, presented rally organizer David Leduchowski and PNHC treasurer Noreen Stone with a $500 cheque at the gas station. As well, Sunova Credit Union Teulon branch’s managing partner, Bonnie Benn, presented a $500 cheque to Leduchowski and Stone inside the branch.
The funds will ultimately go to helping PNHC fulfill its mission of assisting in providing funding to support professionals that help veterans dealing with PTSD.
The third annual Teulon Ride in Rally will be held on July 14 on Main Street. The street will be closed off from Third Avenue to Fifth Avenue for motorcycle and pedestrian use only.
Organizer Leduchowski invited residents to join in on the event, promising a great afternoon in Teulon. “This is an event that is simple summer fun to watch and participate in, whether you have a motorcycle or not,” he said, in a prepared statement.
He encouraged families to bring out their children and pets to support the worthy cause.
The event will feature a rescue demonstration from the Teulon Rockwood Fire Department, music, vendors, skills games and children’s activities, among other things. The event has also received support from other entities and businesses from the town.
