Wins keep coming for Fishermen

The regular season in the KJHL is well underway and the Selkirk Fishermen continue to win.
 

The Fish hosted the visiting Lundar Falcons at the Selkirk Recreation Complex Oct. 28 and earned a 4-3 victory.
 

Selkirk’s Drayton Mendrun put the home team up 1-0 when he scored an unassisted  shorthanded goal. Chad King extended the lead for the Fish before Lundar hit the game sheet towards the end of the first when Dennon Sichewski lit the goal lamp.
 

Landon Grad tied the game at 2-2 for the Falcons early in the middle frame. But Selkirk took the lead once again when Sage Guimond found the back on the net on a pass from Damien Catcheway.
 

Brandon Thomas netted a goal for the Fish early in the third period, which extended Selkirk’s lead to 4-2. Lundar’s Landon Gray scored the final goal for the Falcons at 8:11 of the final frame.
 

The Fishermen took on the St. Malor Warriors at the Selkirk Recreation Complex Oct. 29 and earned a 4-3 overtime shoot-out victory.
 

Selkirk takes to the ice against the Arborg Ice Dawgs at the Selkirk Recreation Complex Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
