The Selkirk Steelers dethroned the Dauphin Kings 6-1 at the Selkirk Recreation Complex Oct. 27, but lost 7-1 to the Winkler Flyers at the Winkler Recreation Complex Oct. 29.
The team’s home match against the Kings proved to be the team’s 10th win in the 2017-18 Manitoba Junior Hockey League season.
Selkirk dominated the first two periods as they scored two goals in the first and three in the middle frame. Their scoring spree continued in the third, extending their lead to 6-0 before Dauphin found the game sheet halfway through the final frame.
After 15 games played, the Steelers have a record of 10 wins and five losses. They sit in fourth place out of 11 teams in the MJHL.
The Steelers take on the Portage Terriers at the Portage Credit Union Place Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
