Manitoba Infrastructure’s Hydrologic Forecasting Centre reports that forecast high winds developing in the early hours of Oct. 26 have resulted in a high to severe wind-effect warning for the South Basin of Lake Winnipeg, the south basin of Lake Manitoba and Dauphin Lake.
Strong north winds are forecast starting early Oct. 26 and into the early hours of Oct. 27. Wind speed and wave action could raise levels by as much as seven feet or more.
