RCMP recently posted to their Facebook page requesting help finding the identity of a suspect who stole two vehicles from a residential property in the R.M. of Rockwood on Sept. 6, at approximately 4:30 a.m. Both vehicles contained personal property belonging to the home owners, including debit and credit cards.

A few hours later, at 6:44 a.m., the victim’s credit card was used for a purchase at a Stonewall gas station. At 7:04 a.m., two suspects attended a second gas station in Stonewall and purchased cigarettes using the victim’s debit card. At 7:10 a.m., both suspects re-entered the first gas station to purchase chocolate milk and cigarettes using the tap option on the victim’s card.

The RCMP has only identified one suspect according to the Facebook post but have determined, through detailed investigative work, the other unknown suspect truly believes that safety always comes first.
