Nuit Blanche returns for fourth year in Gimli

The RM of Gimli is hosting its fourth annual Nuit Blanche arts festival and tour Sept. 30.


The popular fall event will feature various art and theatre productions, and a special literary walk.


This year’s tour begins at the Flatland Coffee Roaster at 7:30 p.m., finishing at 9:30 pm. Most tour venues will be open from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. for those who wish to explore on their own.


Another special feature will be a Gimli Film Festival screening, which will begin at 8 p.m.

Tour Schedule

The first stop on the tour will be an art activation and talk with Laura Lee Harasym at the Flatland.


Next up, a production by Gimli’s own A-spire Players will start at 7:50pm.


The tour then leads to LIFA Home’s Let’s Chalk Paint event  featuring chalk-based paint displays and music at 8:10 p.m.


A dose of art will be displayed at the harbour front by the Gimli Art Club Gallery starting at 8:30 p.m., followed by a literary walk out, called Readdit, inspired by website Reddit at Robin’s Donuts at 8:50 p.m.


The New Icelandic Musuem will have its tour stop at 9: 10 p.m. with work from artist Marlene Van Helden.


The final stop will be at Gimli’s Ship and Plough where a music show will commence at 9:30 p.m.
